While I am not a natural speaker, I’ve got over my fears and grown to love public speaking.

This section is a collection of my presentations/talks and publications, about my experiences in Technical Writing. I’ve also been a part of a couple of documentation podcasts, and love organising and talking at meetups.

Talk - TechCommNZ 2024: Thank God, You're Here

In my talk, I shared my thoughts on the art of documentation advocacy and what it meant to me, and why (and how) technical writers should be advocating for their work. I covered topics such as identifying gaps in our efforts to advocate, skills we could easily use to influence and empower, and a few techniques I've used to raise the profile and recognition of our profession across multiple projects I've worked on.

In this talk, I offer my recommendations on making our content sustainable, especially now when our content is growing at an unprecedented rate. As part of the conference theme, I compare content with the key principles of sustainability such as reducing waste, creating maximum impact, placing emphasis on longevity and relevance, and providing a sense of social responsibility or governance.
